Ms. Cannon challenged my thinking about employment today. She explained how fear and making things difficult come from within and the ideas we allow ourselves to embrace.  Ms. Cannon wants to help UCAN's job acquisition process easier.  So UCAN...make sure you come out and learn how to release barriers holding you back!

You can check out Patsy J. Cannon at www.BlissInLIfe.com

We will be meeting at Wegman's Cafe in Largo MD, off of exit 17 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.  Come and meet the "Bliss Coach!"  (That certainly has a nice ring to it.)

Che Brown Review

Posted by [email protected] on July 17, 2012 at 4:25 PM Comments comments (0)

Hook, Line and Sink was one of UCAN best events ever for six reasons.

1.  Che Brown is an excellent presenter and offers great information.

2.  Yvonne Bailey's assistance in receiving UCAN members was superb.

3.  Felicia Gladden of Sister Girl News brought UCAN some goodies!  Sun          glasses, t-shirts, dvd's and movie passes.

4.  Over 20 people attended this event.

5.  I was watching the intent look on the attendees faces as they took notes!  Awesome.

6.  "Hook, Line and Sink!" received excellent feedback:

"The networking event hosted by UCAN and Fay Keys was awesome. The speaker, Che' Brown was very dynamic. Mr. Brown took time out of his busy schedule to show us keys to having success, not only in business, but also in live. I will apply what I learned during the meeting to my every day life, and also to interviewing and seeking gainful employment. I appreciate the opportunity to learn from another successful black businessman, and I will pass along the tools that I learned from the meeting to all of my business and personal contacts. Thanks to UCAN, I CAN!" - Reggie Brooks

UCAN,

This was my first session and it was wonderful.

Thank you Fay Keys. Your selection for the speaker was great! Che Brown is a

speaker with a power message that can be applied. Three cheers for Che Brown!

Best Wishes,

Brenda Stevens

Congratulations and a shout-out to Fay Keys for putting together an excellent UCAN session @ Wegmans. Attendance was stellar, and the speaker was amazing. Che Brown talked about how to close the deal, elements of a successful job search, and more - Barb Cooper

      ==========================================================================

The workshop you facilitated on 7/11/12 was absolutely excellent. Thank you for sharing your expertise in the field of marketing/sales. -Tamarah Tiexera

     ==========================================================================

I appreciate all that Che Brown shared with the group Wednesday. It was informative and motivational. One should seriously consider taking the time to attend Che's future events. I will. - Herbert D. White Sr.

      ==========================================================================

The information presented was powerful. Che helped me to understand that I have to know the fundamental ways to sell myself. What can I or how can I benefit the company or business I am applying to. I must develop a positive mindset of myself and whatever I tell myself over and over, it will come to past. And last but not least, believing that action is moving myself to follow through. Another point was 3 Things to do when objected, Ignoring objection, handling objections in the body of the presentation and the Hot Potato Metaphor…. Avoid going back and forth. I feel truly blessed about being able to be a part of this wonderful experience. Thank you for all that you do - Tisha Edwards

MAXIMUM SUCCESS IS ACHIEVED IN STEPS

All progress begins one step at a time.

There is no sudden lead to greatness. Good work, done little by little becomes great work. The house of success is built brick by brick.

You can do what you want to do, achieve what you want to achieve, attain any reasonable objective you may have in mind.

Not all of a sudden, nor in one sweeping act of achievement. You will do it gradually, day by day and play by play.

If you want to do it, if you work to do it, you will accomplish your goal over a sufficient period of time.

Your big accomplishments will be a series of little accomplishments.

It takes many strokes to overthrow the tallest oak.

Attitude Is Everything - Carolyn Pinkney

ATTITUDE IS EVERYTHING

You determine your attitude. You can respond positively ornegatively to any situation.

Your attitude is not determined by circumstances, but by how you respond toyour circumstances.

Any challenge facing you is not as important as your attitude towards it, forthat will determine your success or failure.

It's how you react to events, not the events themselves that determines yourattitude.
